so I cut it after the muffler then stick sometips on it, does it have to be welded, and doesnt the pipes turn upward right after the muffler so it can go over the axle causing it to be more of a "turn-up"

I have a set of stock 03 mufflers with turndowns welded on if anyone wants them all they have to do is pay shipping costs. Then just take your car to a muffler shop and have a set of flowtubes welded on and there ya go a set of dumps you can take on and off quite easily. I loved the sound of them on a H pipe with high flow cats. I had to change because i have emissions and they wouldn't put my car on the rollers and it was cheaper just taking them out and welding in 2 pieces of pipe and throwing back the tailpipes back on.

I've got stock manifolds, catless o/r h pipe, with flowmaster turndowns. I don't really like it, I'd like to have something more "muscle" sounding.

If you want more muscle sounding just get a flow tube with a turndown on it it will be muscle sounding

no mufflers sound like crap. SLP sounds good with a cam'd car but otherwise junk.
