A week ago I noticed a moaning noise coming from my diff. It seems like it has gotten worse since then but Im not sure. It is an 8.8 limited slip stock for the 98 cobra and has 90,000 on it. My dads svo does the same thing but we are unsure what it is. Has the limited slip worn out? What is this noise and where is it coming from?

Mine did that, had a leak and ended up burning the thing out and replace the entire setup. Check the fluid and maybe give it a change with some fresh friction modifier.
