I've found just 1 shop in holland which specializes in installing gears etc in american cars and they want to charge me more then $600 just for labour (me providing the installkit and ring+pinion etc.) Probably because they KNOW they are one of the few people with the knowledge and tools.
anyway, I know this tuningshop locally who I know have done similar work on japs (skylines/honda's/etc) and they don't seem to be that expensive. I just called them but he couldn't give me an estimate because he never worked on a mustang before. He said a typical jap required dropping the trans etc, making it a full day of work. I told him it would probably be much easier with the mustangs solid rear axle.
How many hours does a typical gear swap take for a shop in the States? So I can get an estimate for myself.
