npi manifold to pi manifold

ok, so I installed the trick flow twisted wedge heads for my 96 mustang gt lst summer, after research I found out that I need a pi intake manifold, I bought duffys pi manifold that came off of his car, the mechanic said that there is no way to put it on and its only forr 99 and up not 96? But ford says that you can put a pi intake manifold on the 96 motors? Summit sells one for 96 to 98 models.. I don't want the track heat manifold from trick flow to expensive.. What's the problem, something with the water nipple and by pass hose being in the way? Thanks

you still have to buy the nipple fo rthe 99 and up assembly. also same for coolant house. the pi intake will work on the Trick flow heads. the intake will bottle neck the airflow.

Is there a way to by pass it so I still have my defrosters and such?

when i did mine i just cut some hose and ran it around under. worked out fine for 3 years and counting

Yeah I just cut a hose too instead of messing with the nipple. Been working for about a year for me.

X2 did the same thing a year ago and its still kicking with no problems.

Why get creative when the correct OEM ford parts are available and not too pricey?

Budget builds are budget builds. Gotta save money where you can and put it to places where its really needed.
