Re: Official n/a dyno thread

Seriously? You must be making quite a bit past 300hp then.

Re: Official n/a dyno thread

im thinking its the injectors. i just had my tuner take my rev limiter from 4000 for break in to 5000 and it wont even make it to 5000. it kinda sounds like the rev limiter is kicking in but its not. its like its going forward and boom no juice haha. thats the only thing i can think of is the injectors.

Re: Official n/a dyno thread

I'm no help there. I don't make enough power yet to max out my injectors, yet.

Chris, do you have an auto or a manual? I'll add you to the list.

...I thought the stock 94-98 GT's came with 215hp?

the 1998's were rated at 220hp stock, but remember that is at the crank, and not at the wheels. The power all of us are posting is power at the wheels. My car made 219hp to the wheels, which is a minimum of 237hp at the crank. That is figuring only a 8.5% drivetrain loss. Most people will figure more than that. Also, most 96-98 gt's will dyno at well under 200hp stock. I never did a dyno on mine before I started modding, but I would imagine it didn't make any more than 190hp to the tire.

Re: Official n/a dyno thread

Why do we not have a N/A list and then a power adder list? I would like to see what the 96-98s make with NOS, SC and Turbo.

I'm building a forged 4v so I will be off of both lists soon. It will probably just be a nitrous engine at first. Then blower later. I might add a 4v chart as well, or at least make a notation beside their name.

cant be on any list but this is what my 4v made with no intercooler, just thought id share since i saw you were building a 4v atrainsgt. it was lacking on power due to a safe tune and 180* intake temps up in the top rpms

Thanks man, she's pretty torquey. I'd really like to get a good set of longtubes and see what kind of gains I can get with a real good exhaust. Looking at the power curve, it's starving for a good cam too.

Impressive 96 svt cobra. I was building a 4v but that has kinda been put on hold. I bought a 2004 competition orange Mach 1 a couple days ago. It did 320rwhp/337rwtq all motor and 422rwhp/504rwtq on a 100 shot. It is built too!
Here is a link to it with a lot of pics later in the thread.
