I'm going to hang this car... tonight it overheated on me... but here's the thing, the temp gauge said the car was fine, but it cut out and started smoking but the engine wasnt hot to touch.. the coolant reservoir cap was hot, and smoking the car was leaking but i couldn't see where from definitely not from any hoses, or the water pump.... so im assuming the radiator, is gone.. also when it does its lil' overheating thing, the car turns off and i lose power to the car. I almost rear ended someone cause i didnt realize everything was gone. The electric fan does come on. I swear I just want to fix this problem and ditch this car.

I'm sure its not a huge deal, but after my last fiasco with the spark plugs 2 days ago. I'm tired of the constant problems this car has given me ever since I traded my beautiful 95, that is now being abused, for it. And on top of it all... ITS SLOWER! lol

i hear ya man..its always something with these cars, you fix one thing, another breaks..hopefully you get it worked out

You painted the car.. it looks better. See if the dude you traded to wants his old car back? :dontknow:

Check the sensor to the cluster is working correctly, and also check there are no air pockets in the cooling system. top off and test drive. Recheck, then try and replace with an OE temp thermostat.

i would check the intake over real good and check below the intake in the vally to see if there is any coolant there too. sounds like its time to do a pi swap to me. also could burp the system to get any air out if needed.

would draining the system have the same effect? And im not gonna do a pi swap on this car, because IF I keep it, it will be getting a 4v, sorry duff daddy... I know 4vs are gay to you.

Did you have NOS on it already or did he add that system?

he added that. he said he only had it on for 2 days but i dont care... he said it was a 100sumthin shot. so for all i know it coulda been a 175 or sumshit.

I think thats what its gonna come down to...Dont take this as a spoiled child comment, but my mother said she should buy me a mark 8 engine for my 18th b-day. Im excited, its a big purchase that I wanted to do for a while. Now I just gotta save up for all the stuff needed to put it together.

I think this engine is done....
me and my friend were messin with it today, and the upper radiator hose never got any pressure, I also noticed the garage floor was soaked in oil so i looked underneath and everything was dripping in oil, exhaust covered and everything. We kept puttin water in the car, and it would dissapear and never be seen again, nothing was leaking, at the time either.
