oil filter relocation kit

I got a free oil filter relocation kit.
Don't really see the purpose of having the filter "relocated" anyone tell me if its worth installing or should I just get rid of it?

depending on where you could mount it, it might help keep oil cooler. but the hassle and chance of more leaks is prob not worth it

ease of changing oil is the only reason for doing it in a mustang. Otherwise, in a situation where you would be installing the motor into a not very traditional chassis and oil filter clearance becomes an issue, this is used to put it in a more easily accessible location.

That's really the purpose I thought of too was for clearance issue but didn't really have one. Ehhh ill just chuck it in trash

Why wait? I'm in afghanistan, still buyin parts getting ready to install. I think ill be in kuwait in april for R&R.
