oil leakage

I have owned my 98 gt for about five months now, and i havent had any problems with it, other than the usuall intake manufold taking a crap lol. When i woke up this morning there was a big oil spot in the driveway, and since it is winter i havent been running it hard lately, so i was wondering who has any ideas what is wrong, and why i am leaking oil.

a seal leaking.. something loose.. broken oil line.. filter cracked.. head warped/cracked..

can you see a specific spot where its leaking from? like side of engine, lower or upper, front/rear?
gonna need a little more information to help you out man...

well i am not sure where its coming from. I put my car in the garage, and put towels down under it to see where the spot was coming from. it sat for about 10 hours and there was no spots on the floor, i jacked up the car and i couldnt find any oil dripping from the pan, lines etc. There are spots alll over my driveway and im pretty sure its oil. My driveway is slanted, nothing serious, but maybe taht could explain oil leaking on the driveway and not in the garage?

Well if the slant is doing it I would look at the rear main, but how many miles do you have?

Someone could be messing with you, lol. I've done that before... But probably not.

90k. I took it out for a drive, and no problems, its been in the driveway and again no problems. Theres a lot of pony envey out there lol, but if it is someone messing with me, its a lot better than having everything resealed. Ill keep itin the garage and keep my eye out for spots.

i hope santa brought me car parts this year. i could use some flowmasters and CAI :xmassign:

Yeah, for some reason when I read it, the memory of me dumping little bit's of oil into my little brother's driveway everyday for about 2 month's popped into my mind. I even splashed some randomly on his chassis. I don't remember why I did that... But it was funny lol

You can alway's stick a cardboard sheet under it if need be in the garage to check.

yea if you cant find a leak or any wet spots around the engine then its probably nothing to really worry about. just keep an eye out for it. its easiest to find a leak on a dirty engine as well so if it does again dont wash it until prior to replacing things.
