Service time is coming up on my 03 GT.

I can`t get 5/20 weight oil for love nor money here. I suppose I could buy some in as there could be someone in England that has it possibly. My closest choice here is 0/30 or 5/30. Would this be ok or should I hold out for 5/20?

Any input appreciated guys.

5w30 will be fine, just wont get the added mpg since is a smaller weight than the 30. 5w30 will protect you better during the warmer seasons.

0/30 would probably work, i know guys who run 0 weight, but i personally dont.

the theory is that the first number is the protection durring cold times (0, meaning its very watery) and the second number durring hot times (30, meaning thick and syrupy.)

this is an myth, as one number is for weight and one number is for vescosity. i forget which one is which, but a 0 spec in our cars isnt something i personally suggest (obviously)

the 5w30 will be a little thicker than the called for 5w20, but the effects *should* be minimal (anyone feel free to chime in if they feel the need to correct me) your car will probably run slightly hotter, but not noticably hotter. It may take a longer time to warm up, as well.

either way, sicne your car appears to be a sun-shine-driver, i wouldnt worry about it. 5w30 will work fine.
