Havent posted in a week or so..but I'm back! For those who missed me..and actually know who I am..
SOOOOO I was coming home from work/getting wendys(Which just opened up a week ago so its mega busy all the effin' time now..) and I was pulling off the interstate, pressed my clutch in to hear a pop noise. I knew what it was. The cables on the clutch cable are snapping..so I used the clutch as little as possible, keeping it in 3rd, got home, pressed the clutch in a bunch, it popped twice, can now feel the clutch is getting weaker in the pedal. So the clutch cables getting ready to go! I have an adjustable firewall clutch cable, and have replaced this once before, put some kind of cable grease on it, and that was aprox. 4 months ago. So now I gotta drive 40 miles to get a new one..with gas being 4.00 for 93 octane... :wall: :wall: :wall:
Question being, what the hell si going on? Ive heard people having this same problem..are those adjustable firewall clutch cables crap or something? Losing patience on this car..if its not one thing its another..then again thats cars for ya. You beat 'em they break..
Or is it the grease? Is it possible that stuff gets coroded(sp) and wears down the actual cable itself, making it deteariate (Sp)?
Thanks boys.
