Well I left the scene for a bit seeing I've had a mustang since 16 (now 21) and wanted to try a honda and well that sucked, so I'm back into what I love... Mustangs. My dad and me started a small car dealership and buy cars wrecked off the auction and we found this car for the right price and at the right time... It had a clear title and needed a door and fender.. so we thought. 2600 dollars and some diesel fuel I picked up my 1998 cobra 127000 mile one owner car (it was a girl so it had absolutely no mods... and wasn't taken care of at all) and it turns out it had a rod knock. But my first car was a 95 cobra and I've always loved sn95s over any mustang, so me and my dad decided to go all out on this car and make it a keeper in our family of toys. The goals for the build is a single turbo 600-700 hp monster that is done to a show level, and I wonna accomplish this for under 17k, I will keep a price list of everything I buy and we can see if we can meet the budget or not. This will be a moderately paced build and I'll try to keep you guys updated as much as possible.

Started at 11 today sanding the car with 1000 grit and finally ALMOST finished at 1500, my back hurts so damn bad i quit though and decided to play with teh hood a bit, i also started preping the motor to get pulled... anywho

not much progress today, just finished the hood after four hours... the only pic i have is one my friend took of me and the hood off instagood, should be alot more this week...

Looks great! Looks like you have a really nice shop to do the work at. This is just my 2 cents but I would lower the engine out from the bottom by removing the K-Member, engine, and transmission all at once since you have access to a lift.

Thanks for the comments, along with the comment regarding dropping the motor from the bottom may be a problem.. I don't have body lift just a wheel lift so that would be an issue. I almost have it ready to be pulled at the moment... I got the rear bumper buffed tonight after work, didn't stay to late as I planned to see my girlfriend. Hopefully major progress will come this weekend.

looks like your a copart guy? i almost got a 99 cobra from them, got a friend that gm's the copart by my house but missed it by a few hundred. yours looks sick tho!! i like the fact that your not afraid to do all the work yourself! i want to repaint my car but am too afraid ill completely mess it up, i never get my painted items to turn out right lol.. hope to see more progress soon!!

JK lol i forgot you posted on here, and thanks for the comps... got a little more done today. hoping to have all the buffing done by sunday, didnt mess with the motor much, its ready to be pulled after i remove the front fenders so i can spray the engine bay.

i totall didn't see your post, i buy off iaai.com you should check it out, they have really good deals. and my dad owns a body shop so i've been learning for about 8 years now so that helps alot and he gives me alot of pointers, but thanks for compliments. if you paint something and can't paint just lay a shit ton and clear and get to buffing lol
