Finally, some pics of the carnage. I found a new home for the cat so this wont happen again. These are just a few of the scratches. There are bigger ones all over the car, especially on the roof. And there is also a giant rectangle (about 5"x4" or so)of what looks like somebody took some fine sandpaper to it. I tried to take a picture of that but I wasnt successful.

I talked to FMINUS and he and [email protected] and ive come up with two options:

- http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-338-adams-7424xp-dual-action-car-polishing-kit-free-shipping.aspx

Now, Phil said that the package from Adam's Polishes might not take out the scrathes that I have. What do yall think? And if there's something that you would recommend that isnt here please bring it up. Any suggestions would be helpful.

as long as the scratches are not into the base coat, they should buff/polish out.
If they're all the way through the clear coat, your screwed. The scratch will then have to be sanded all the way down flat and fresh clear coat applied.
To me, the pics look like they're only surface and should come out with rubbing compound and polish.

I agree, from the pictures they do look like they will come out. Have you thought about Megs 105/205 Combo? 105 will take out some pretty bad scratches and swirls with the PC.

whats the Megs 105/205 combo? ill look at your website real quick. and i got out today and taped off a 4"x4" square right on a scratch to see if by hand works. i spent about 20 minutes applying and wiping off many small amounts of some swirl-x and i was surprised by the outcome. ill get some pics up later on.

No problem bud!

You want to use the Meg's 105 and 205 first. Then you would apply the Wet Obsession as your last step.

Since you are a member here you get 10% off products and accessories. Items that are already on sale or buffer packages are the only things that don't counter for the discount.

You definately can't go wrong with the megs and wet obsession. Make sure you get an orbital polisher with the appropriate pads. I guess an LC orange, white, and black pad should hold you pretty good (Obsessive detail should be able to help you better with this). Don't forget to blue tape your mach decal as to not to get any polish on it. Be careful on that fender edge with heavy polishing they tend to be thinner on paint but with the porter cable you should be fine.

kind of like sandpaper grits. orange being firm and black being soft. More aggressive with the orange and less aggressive with the white.

Let me tell you something, The adam's stuff is just rebadged Chemical Guys goodies.... I can confirm this.

for the looks of the pics, everything will come out. I have this happen a few times year where a cat scratches my hood. Its happens, and i just buff them right now with my rotary or PC.

IMO since you are new at this and are not doing alot of cars, i would go with M105/M205 Combo.

For real protection, you want to use a sealant, then top it with Carnauba for that super dripping wet look
