Ouch

Well I was cruising down main street today in the cobra and the vehicle two cars ahead of me decided they just HAD to make the turn for burger king that was halfway through the block, keep in mind there was another turn at the end of the block just a few feet down the road, and the car behind them had to slam on their breaks to stop. Now unfortunately i was trailing a bit close and i skidded when i hit the brakes and ended up sliding into the back of some girl's like 30 year old jeep... Seems to be just cosmetic damage for the most part, the front bumper cover and the hood are done for good, the steering wheel is locked up, the airbags deployed, but other than that everything seemed to be in order.. Ill get some pics tomorrow and hopefully ill be able to get back into a stang soon, lookin to get a new edge cobra (sadly no termis ) so maybe this will work out for the better... Makes for a shitty 4th but things like this happen, im about to go fill up on some coke and rum so hopefully that will take my mind off of it for now. Well it just so happens my break fluid started leaking towards the rear end of the vehicle just yesterday, i didnt have time to get it fixed and i was busy today so my breaks were less than adequate, i was actually only driving the car about 6 miles to a 4th of july get together when this happened

I was about 2 car lengths behind her, this old lady literally stopped on a dime to get into this burger king lot... The thing i dont understand is we were in the far lane and she had to cross traffic anyway so why didnt she just coast to a stop and turn at the end of the block? I mean traffic was keeping her from turning anyway.. Stupid, stupid predictament, but I do have some fault, you jsut dont figure youll end up with a beat up front end just driving 10 minutes away from your house. Live and learn.

I have yet to be impressed with any Mustangs "ABS" system. My 95's flat spotted tires really don't like it haha.

Having good tires helps. My cars abs system works but it's never used due to my cars tires out performing the brakes haha.

try harder, brake later, I can lock tires when running on 275 r-comps all around with low end track brake pads when I'm out playing at WSIR.

I meant on the street as of right now. I'm sure I will on track, i did on the old mustang and even moreso once the Roush-PBR's are removed in favor of the Roush-Alcons.

I didn't have a problem on the street except for this one time I met a couple deer in the road. But at autocross, I usually smoke a tire or two on the front end from braking hard.

Haha, totally thread-jacked... but anyway. Insurance is checking out the car tomorrow to extimate damages, however based upon the information i provided theyre fairly certain it is a total loss. Which is perfectly okay with me because this means ill be able to get into a new edge cobra like I originally planned.. So now comes the long process of parting out the car... Pictures will come tomorrow when I clean out the car.

Here's a quick walkaround of the car, after closer inspection the only total loss is the hood, the headlights, and a support for the radiator got bent inward, no damage to the engine, no leaking fluids, runs perfectly normal
