"Oversize" ball joints?

Anyone know what this is about? The diameter can't be larger, unless they mean it's intended for mounting into damaged arms but that's scary just replace the arm! Or are these "tall" joints for lowered cars?

I haven't been able to find anything official but after searching around google just for "oversize ball joints" it seems like many applications are available 0.006 Inch larger, to fit arms which are sloppy.

Well, doubt that's going to apply in my case but I guess it's good to know.

Oversized ball joints are exactly what you said in your most recent post. They are for applications where the ball joint has been replaced several times, causing the hole to expand.

Thicker tie rods on the cobra? Never heard of that. What's the point of thicker tie rods?
I have a set that came off my 97 cobra that were just a tad thicker
I dont even know who the manufacturer is
They could be after market
Thay were worn out and have been on the car for a while

Ball joints on lower controle arms those
I'll replace the whole arm with ball joints
I dont like that resizing shit
