P.I intake after install

How many of you needed a tune after you installed you intake? Mine has been running and idling like crao ever since... Doesnt seem to be any vaccum leaks or any thing..

You should definitely not need a tune from just a PI swap

Time to recheck everything

I just spoke with a guy off a local form whoo happens to be aford tech.. He told me to check my IAC controller (i think its what he said lol). So i am going to mess with that tommorrow and hope it clears up..

IAC valve, it's the little cylinder on the front of your upper plenum

Even if it was the IAC that would only affect idle, you said it's been running rough so I assume that means off idle

Triple check all vacuum lines and plug wires as well

plugs and wired are good... And i said running rough... I meant at idle it sucks... Idles about 1100 rpms and surges to 1500 every 5 or 10 seconds.. Then when i drive it drives fine but when i take the foot off the gas it revs down super slow!!!

What happens when you unplug the IAC? Does it change or do the exact same thing?

yes, it's usually reset by disconnecting the battery and leaving the key in the ON position for 10 minutes or so

Hate to bring things off topic but I see you have a 98 GT....did you buy chance use your stock water tube nipple??

from what i read. Some 98's did and some didnt. I guess just buy one to be safe
