So i grab this gt40 upper and lower a few weeks ago and decide to make look a bit better. I also did the elbow and throttle body, but forgot before pics. I think they all turned out pretty good.

Dude those are Big Bertha Callaway irons. I used to be around them all the time when i worked in a Golf Store. I have Snake Eyes myself :) I used to work for Golfsmith :)

I plan on putting it in pretty soon, just waiting to get my cam so i can do a H/I/C swap. And i love the irons. The best thing about them was there were free!!! My cousin got them for me, he's my swing coach he got me from a 33 handicap to a 18 in a year. Can't wait lol for both the swap and golf!!! I can get to the course faster lol.

just a suggestion, take some sand paper or a wire wheel and carefully sand back the stripes and letters leaving a silver/polished finish, then spray some clear over everything :)

my 4v motor rubs the **** out of my stock gt hood but you get the idea :)

how it looks on the letters on my `89's motor-

(I got the intake used and the powder coat was peeling, that's why it looks a little lumpy, I'd love to sand blast it just haven't bought a sand blaster yet)

I will do that on the elbow and maybe the top of the throttle. I was trying to look for a good looking plate for the upper anyone know where some are sold. Maybe something different than the explorer on.

Very nice work, I did the same thing back when I had my fox 5.0, I also took a OEM top plate and reversed the colors (5.0 HO in silver and plate in black) to finish the look

will it effect anything that you didn't mask off the area between the two intakes? I know you can sand it off but I would think it could cause a problem with the heat on the gasket?

I painted mine silver almost 2 yrs ago and I am suprised it has not started to come off yet. A little bit of sanding on that powder is all you need to smooth it out before paint.

Come on paul i maybe a noobie but i know better than that lol, i just didn't take any pics of the prep. I just wich i could have PC them. You do some killer work man seriously!

i was paranoid about the paint causing problems with the throttle body spring and tps so i masked everything i could.

they might look a little better, but i think with that explorer upper if you sand the fins and make them look like your lettering it will pop! i know it would look killer. plus you get to have that trickflow elbow showing off in there like a baller.

i need to re polish my cobra logo but im lazy and dont let people see under my hood.

At first i was just kinda O.K. but cleaning the raised areas made a 100% improvement.
