painted mirrors and cowl

i got a buddy that can paint my mirrors and cowl. ive seen mirrors painted, but ive never seen a cowl painted on a mustang, or that i recall. anybody got pics or thoughts?

I bought a brand new wiper cowl along with side mirrors. I'm going to paint the mirrors, but painting that cowl is too much. For me @ least!

i say paint the mirrors and leave the cowl white. painted cowl would look good on a dark color but not on a white car

White? Mine on now is black. The new one I have to go on is black, maybe you meant black. Just wondering.

yeah, white is a loud color... i recently saw a black car w/ the cowl panel painted black and I couldn't decide if i liked it. Mirrors always look good though.

I like the cowl I think it looks good, it makes it kind of flow nice

i like both painted. i have my cowl and mirrors smoothed and ready for paint.


i think everyone relies on others opinions a little too much :crazy2:

I have been debating over the cowl for awhile now as well. Search for a pic of the concept supersnake from ford. I believe it had a painted cowl as well.

IMO, a red or blue car, something with a little bit more contrast in the paint would look good with both painted.

Personally, I tihnk a white car would be way too much to paint both. Mainly because I think just teh mirrors would be to much onm a white car.

Painting the mirrors looks great on a white car, mirrors are just something that should be body color 99% of the time regardless of color.

Not a fan of the painted mirrors. Always thought it looked cheap/ Reminds me of when Maaco paints a car, they paint the mirrors, emblems, etc.
IMO, mirrors are meant NOT to be nticed. When they're painted, they look like ears. LOL

JUST the cowl on the other hand, that may look nice with Laser Red.
I know 94-95 mirrors are smooth and the 96-98s are textured, anyone know if the same applies for the cowl piece?
Any closeups of the painted cowls? That red 'bra up top looks killer.

Here is my painted cowl. Deep Forest Green. I think light colored cars would not look so good with them, but dark colored cars really pull it off (along with the painted mirrors).
