So I want to know if anyone has ever painted their mirrors black. At first I wanted to match the car, but if I went that route, I would look to get some export mirrors. And those are way too expensive for me at the moment.

So does anyone have some pics of their car with their mirrors just painted black? And what are some thoughts of this. Worth it, is it nice, not nice. I'm all ears for this. Or should I paint them to match. I think it would look bad in my opinion.

I'd personally leave them how they are. They seem to stick out like a sore thumb if painted really shiny gloss black. That's just me though.. I generally don't like them painted body color.

I think that you want to leave the ones on your car alone...don't think that painted to match or gloss black would look to hot...if you must do it, do you know if 03 cobra mirrors would work?

haha, my 3rd pic shows my ugly mirrors and my ugly wheels, together, on my ugly "import-lookin', early-90's abortion, what-the-fu**" mustang. :-D I LOVE IT!

also, i did get a set of exports, but i honestly like the 03/04s more. i just got the exports because they are harder to find.

It's ok.. your early 90's abortion mustang is still faster than most people's on this sight. We'll forgive you I suppose.

no one on the site calls my car a 90s abortion, just mustang fans out there....

"you have a stang? cool. what year?"
"96"
"oh. i like the older ones"
"yea. me too. but i also like cruise control and air conditioning, along with 20MPG"
"yea, but it looks like an import"

... lol. im sure youve had at least one of those conversations...

Yep... all of my friends politely dismiss my mustang as an "actual" mustang. Some of my less tactful "acquaintances" have even gone so far as calling "those mustangs from the 90's" hideous and saying they are the worst looking mustangs/shouldn't have been built etc etc....
