i've been looking at some different springs. My car's black and I want the springs to match. I'm not going to buy a brand based on color, but if i do decide to get a set that are say, ugly bright blue like the bbk, I would like the option to make them match. My concern is the constant compression and decompression that i would think cause any paint to crack and flake off. Anyone know anything about that?

Most springs actually get powdercoated. Might wanna look into that.

luckily i know some people....I've read on some sites that springs don't always drop the advertised height. along with the springs i'm going to get fox shocks. will being a shorter shock make a difference? that's not the reason i'm buying fox shocks, I'm just wondering if it will have a different visual effect than sn95 shocks.

If you are using factory style springs (installed on the control arm), you are not going to get any drop out of the Fox shock. You would only experience that with a coil-over setup, at which point the drop is completely up to you.

Who cares what color they are? You don't really see 'em anyway? Even if you did, who cares what color they are?

The only time I see my springs are when the wheels are off. And they're the same color as everything else under there- dirt.
