Well, took the car out to Streets of Willow past weekend. One thing that definitely made a difference at the limit, was that the car rotated a lot easier. It still feels front heavy and understeers when I'm not on the throttle, but unlike before, when as I would add throttle, the understeer would increase, now it becomes more neutral as I get on the gas harder.

Good alignment, better than stock weight distribution, and sticky tire. That's it.

More in detail, you need to make sure your dynamic camber angle is close to 0, so you can have the most tire on the road. The less weight you have on the front wheels, the less tire has to work to grip. Sticky tire is pretty self explanatory.

Well just know That you will be the first person I ask about suspension when that time comes. Is it bad for me to go ahead and install parts before I really drive the stuff it already has?

I ran the car completely stock for almost a year before I started playing with suspension. Best mod in the world for going fast is seat time, any racer will tell you that. The benefit of running a stock car at first is that your limits are fairly low, so when the car does step out on you, you will not be going too fast, so chances of correcting the mistake or damaging something if you spin are greatly reduced. Once you get some seat time in the car, you will know exactly what you need and were to start.

I noticed the same thing on mine.
Understeer becuase the rear is planted so well.

Hey Rep, don't you need to stiffen up your rear swaybar to equalize that?

Either that or bump the spring rate. Anything to make the rear rotate better.

Definately good information in here for folks looking to get into open track an auto X. Nice install as well.
