PCV system bypass with boost ATTN: NXcoupe!!!!!!

So Im going to do a PCV system bypass very soon on my car. I had PM'd back and forth with NXcoupe about how to do it and he was gracious enough to walk me through it. This was a very long time ago and unfortunately i somehow manage to delete them. Does anyone know how to do the bypass and can you walk me through how to do it?

Cap the throttle body port, and cap the source for the pcv at the manifold.

Run a line from the valve cover where the TB was plugged into, and run it into a T to join the PCV valve, run another T off this out into a fender and put a breather filter at the end.


These are basically verbatum of how my prochargers instructions told to do this.

I used 3/8" air tool hose and a air tool 3-way billet distro block to run mine cleanly.

Was this in a 4.6? IIRC I don't have a line hooked into my TB from the PCV.

that was on my 89, but the 4.6 has tubes from the intake tubing to the valve/cam cover on the drivers side, you could replace "throttle body" with "intake tube" from what I posted.

Ok. So to get it straight. I have a "T" fitting and Port 1 connect to the valve cover port. Port 2 of T connects to PCV valve. Port 3 of T goes to fender. Is that all right?

And how would I do it with using a hose barb in each valve cover?

yeah you got it, it's pretty simple really. Don't forget to cap off the unused source fittings (on mine, it was throttle body and upper intake).

you have a pcv fitting in each valve cover? If so just T those together into the feed that goes into the fender with the filter on the end of it.

Kinda. Im going to put aftermarket valve covers on the car and will be putting a brass hose barb fitting in each of them

Just outta curiosity why do I need a breather at the end of the line going into the fender well? and also is i wanted to run a oil catch can i would put it inline of the hose running into the fender? Im pretty positive thats how it would go. But i just wanted to bounce it off of people who have done this before

my manual stated to use a filter if you live in CA for the CARB cert, lol.

I imagine it has to do with catching a lot of the oil mist so it doesn't go flying out, a catch can would probably be quite a bit more functional than a breather filter I imagine.
