pi cams in npi head

hey guys im gonna do the pi cam and intake swap on my 98.. but i dont want to put stock pi cams in it... wat would be my best bet with a cam alil over stock....i wanted to do sumthing like a vt stage 2 but i dont think my stock vavle train will handle it................

no i want to do pi cams, just not stock ones like striaght out of a 99-04. like sumthing a lil over stock....

dont do it. the NPI heads have a spring seat that is taller, so coil bind happens quicker. Use a NPI cam or just a stock PI cam. YOu can get a NPI comp 274 and it makes for more power than the PI cams

Arent those cams like 600 bucks though?

vs pi cams that you can get for 100 tops.



The price differance probably isnt worth the power differance between the 2 IMO

five hundred extra dollars for ten hp? you could buy gears and drag radials for that and shave .5 tenths. with that much,

lol...exactly....might as well save for a pi heads and a set of cams that will actually give you 20-30 hp over pi cams.

You can use aftermarket PI cams with Crower offset retainers or you can have your perches machined..... BUT stock PI cam are the best bang for the buck.
