Ford makes a head changing kit if you want to do the head's too. Otherwise, for just the intake and cam, all you need are intake gasket's for a 99 Mustang. Check out the sticky at the top of the page for a pretty detailed how to.

you will need:

PI Intake Manifold
PI Heater Return Tube (tube that runs under the intake manifold)
PI Water Pump Nipple (if your car is a 98, you already have this)
PI Intake Manifold Gaskets
1 Bottle of RTV Gasket Maker

PI Cams
PI Cam Bolt (NPI bolts are too thick to work)
Valve Cover Gaskets (im a firm believer in replacing any gaskets when you can)
Engine Assembly Lube

Torque Wrench (in-lbs)
Fuel Line Removal Kit ($2 at autozone)
Assorted Tools

if you go the more involved way for the Cam install (removing the timing cover), you will also need:
Timing Cover Gaskets (3 of them)
Timing Cover Seal

Pulley Remover (rent one at autozone)

and thats all i can think of. buy some cans of brake cleaner too so you can clean parts as you take them off and before you install them.

i just got done doing the swap in sept. and i love it. i had the PI intake and the PI cams installed already for about a year, and then decided to take the plunge and swap the heads as well. one of the best mods ive done to my car. the most important and rewarding part for me was the increase in throttle response, thats what i was looking for with the heads. total it took me about 20 hours worth of labor, spread over 3 days. hardest part was the issue i was having with the dipstick tube.
