Since I did the motor swap I was aware that the intake had a very small coolant leak however I got very annoyed with smelling coolant burning on the back side of the heads.
I had bought a used intake which I thought was a PI intake UNTIL I lined them up and saw the huge difference.
Come to find out I got screwed out on $110. Guy ripped me off and never heard from him again.

So I ordered a brand new intake and am expecting it around 4 today, already got the car tore apart for the new intake. Here are some pics

That coolant port was really fubared.

I need to order a new intake as well. Mine has a small vacuum leak and the car is running a bit lean.
This will be my 4th intake swap on the car... :angry7:

So did you actually need a new PI intake or just that it was leaking from the coolant port and needed to be re-sealed? I decided to use NPI gaskets for this reason when I did my PI intake swap.

any pics of the underside of them old and new? Looks like your new one is a Dorman PI intake.

My current leaking intake is a Dorman and I didn't really feel a power loss when I went from a FRPP intake to the Dorman one.

:laughing5: well in that case keep it. I believe there a size difference when comparing the dorman vs ford racing pi intake replacement.

I put a nonpi dorman on mine and had no problems either.,.. but it was nonpi lol

Good luck
