I just did the pi intake swap on my 1998 gt. I had a new npi intake manifold with the aluminum crossover on it and the new pi intake with the alminum crossover. I was going to swap the crossovers but the npi one didnt line up right....i have heard people say to swap them but how when it doesnt line up....the npi intake wsa a dorman from autozone....i used the pi crossover and left the other sensor unhooked....my fan runs constantly now but no overheating or leaks at all...just my service engine light....should it be ok to drive it like this?

The reason they didnt line up is because the Dorman crossover isnt the same as a Ford one

Can you drive it? Probably but myself I would get it tapped for the 2nd sensor so your CEL goes off and your fans work right

If you dont want to pull the crossover off again I have seen people who tap into the thermo neck instead

just take the sensor to a hardware store or lowes/home depot, and get a T fitting to mount both sensors into the 1 hole, OR put the second sensor in the side of the block and lengthen the wires to reach.

driving like it is IS NOT an issue.
