After installing the edelbrock rpm2 with 1 inch spacer, I had to cut the hood to close it. Then I ordered a hood scoop for a 2005 and up mustang and installed it. I was going to go with a new hood, but I'm having the car painted at the end of the year. Anyway, it turned out looking pretty good and different.

Hey CruzinKev, I ordered my hood scoop from ramairhood.com. It's one of the best scoops that I could find for our model cars. It was more expensive than the other ones I looked at, but you get what you pay for.

Hmmm.. Not sure on it. Maybe if you had a pic from farther away?

Just my opinion (and you know what opinions are like) but I don't think any scoop looks right on a stock SN hood. Just something about the "nostril" vents that makes it flow strange.

COWL > scoop

The scoop is for the 2005 and up mustangs. The reason I installed it is because it has tapered edges which blend in to the hood well. I will probably change to cowl or cobra rr hood later, but for now it serving its purpose (able to close the hood). By the way, I just ran a 1999 mustang with a 347 carb engine, c4 transmission, et streets. The car is faster than mine, but something was a miss and I out ran him twice. Not only do you have to build them fast, you have to keep them together.

I Don't think it is a "New edge" scoop per say, but it definitely isn't a 'stock' '05+ scoop. The stock scoops on the 197's are really small and stupid looking. That one looks much wider than the 05+ a does kind-of like resemble edger scoop.

The one you linked to here is something non-oem, pretty much sums up what everyone has been saying. It's made for an 05+ but not a stock scoop. Either way, it still looks much better than the 05 stocker or a giant hole in the hood! LOL :p

Looks really awesome, nice alternative to a cowl hood which IMO is getting too common. I love the scoop!!!
