Dont know if this is the right category for my thread but...

Since I really need a real oil pressure gauge with actual numbers Im looking at getting a triple gauge a-pillar. One question is, are convertible pillars different from coupes, or are they universal? I would like it if it were the same texture and color as my passenger side (black 94) But most of all I am looking for gauges that DONT HAVE A LOGO. I hate stupid logos! I mean, it wouldnt be a bad thing if it said Ford Racing on it, but GlowShift, Autometer, etc. I dont wanna see it. So if anyone one knows of gauges that are white faced, but the numbers light up blue (reverse glow) please tell me.

There used to be someone who sold a combo on ebay. Gauge pillar, and you pick whatever 3 gauges you want with it, but it looks like the only person who does that anymore is GlowShift.

That is correct. You can get a nice A pillar gauge pod setup from "Speed of Sound".

Meh. Never liked pillar pods. A bit too "look at me" for my tastes.

Man that was a breath of fresh air... finally a real opinion compared to "its ricey."

I like them, but I agree it does call attention. If I were to do it, I would get the gauge cluster.

I prefer the dual gauge pod around the stock cluster.

I prefer three gauges in the center stack beneath the CD player.

I dont like that surround. Too tacky looking IMO.

Dontcha mean beneath the "tape" player? (CD was installed below, as a factory/dealer option) My car had been converted to double DIN, to house my navigational system, so that wont work.

if they arent in the dash, then they need to be in the center stack.....

If youre speaking of the dash clock on 94-97s, I use that clock a lot, and Id rather keep it. Plus I think the gauge pods that go there are a bit bulky, and I already am having enough trouble seeing over the hood.

Mine are much nicer, and made of billet aluminum instead of cheap plastic. :tongue3:

Mine have little billet cam-shaped tabs that retain it so you don't have to put screws into your dashboard. They're $67.95 shipped - just buy the gauges you like and install is easy. A bunch of folks on here have them.

I got a 3 gauge A pillar cluster for something like 30 bucks on eBay, and it's shite. Convieniently I stopped caring about my interior when the roll bar went in. If you want something that sits flush I recommend spending the extra money. You can usually unscrew the face of the gauge and change out the faceplate with Ford Racing, SVT, whatever.

I searched and search and search and couldn't find any pillar gauged designed for convertibles. Apparently they are different. Ive seen some rather crappy examples that look like someone just slapped something together, but I wanted the factory look that coupes enjoy. I found that Lotek made them exclusively for convertibles, but there were no pics on the internet, so it was a risk.

Not sure why they list it for 94-00, as Im not sure what changed in 2001.

Anyway, since theres no pics anywhere on the internet Ill post some of mine.
