any how to's or tips? especially in the small/hard to reach places.

i have a bunch of parts getting powder coated and what wont be pc will be shined or painted. so im shinin up a few parts myself. i went and bought some stuff for my dremel and started on my dizzy.

just starting out, but how can i get it too really shine? im thinking of doing a few more parts. its kinda fun. :thumb:

flitz? is that that stuff off tv? yea ive been sanding the crap out of it. i went ahead and used the polish my dremel kit came with and it came out real nice. but i found more pitting, so im gonna sand some more. are there any good polishes that i can pick up locally?

First, take it apart.

Second, get a real polisher - like a 3/4 hp buff motor with a good cotton wheel and some decent polish.

Third, grind away some of the casting to make those areas a bit easier to get too.

Or just take it apart and have the base powdercoated along with everything else. It's easy. :)

to get that shine your talking about, work towards a 2000grit paper. go like 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. and sand away. the more time you sand, the shinier it will be. and use polish too while you do it. the longer you spend doing it, the better it will come out. :thumb:
