Basically what the title says is what I am trying to figure out. What are some of the best ways that you guys keep the pollen off your car without having to constantly wash it. Would a microfiber clothe do the trick like just wiping it down all the time? I just want to get it off before I drive you know. It just sucks when you drive around and your car is actually green and looks like it can glow in the dark.

I Just washed my car today and it is green already. Pisses me off, I can't stand it.

And I don't have a garage to put a car in, so lets not drop that lol.

Yea I don't think there is a way to keep it off unless its covered we have that stuff bad around here so i kno how you feel, I just stop by the car wash and rinse it off then had dry it, quick and easy. That's the best thing I've come up with.

Do you mean those little yellow things that get all over EVERYTHING? Maybe its a desert thing for me, from the mesquite trees.

My ideas!

1. Park it somewhere else.
2. Drive fast!!! Blow it off!
3. Cut that damn tree down!

lol

have had one for over 10 years and I love it!!!
Do they do any harm to the paint as far as inducing swirls or scratches? I obviously understand if the car is dirty, I'd wash it, but just like overnight dust from the pollen trees?

I never trusted them for that reason... I can't imagine dragging a dry brush across your dirty paint could not leave swirls... Try it on a car that you don't own and get back to us... ha ha

Back when I had the 6er I used a calif duster all the time on it. The pollen and dust was awful at school. As long as the car wasn't filthy it would be fine.

If I go to any car shows or a weekend event I just use a quick detail spray and just go over the car with it and a microfiber.

DO NOT USE THE '"California Duster Scratcher"

It will swirl up the paint hardcore!!!

Just use a MF towel and QD spray.

That green dust is just impossible to keep off. We get it here for about 3 weeks and its just a terror. I usually hit the car with the hose if I just washed it over the weekend and its not gonna rain.
Its all over everything right now and I just sprayed off the screen porch yesterday because it was all inside.

QD, waterless wash, and rinseless wash mixed 10:1 and mf towel would be the quickest way.

To be honest if you get pollen like I do there is nothing you can do. Its a major PITA and I hate it.

If you hit it right away with QD and a good microfibre you will be ok, but for me 80% of the time over night/day the car is covered too bad to do that method, there is too much pollen and you will end up either using a bottle of QD or scratching up the paint.

I find the best if you want a quick fix is a good hose down, then a dry with some QD.

Try to park it in a carport or somewhere a bit protected, or like mentioned a cover. Pollen season I wash my car like 2-3 times a week.

I think i have it worse... The trees on my driveway seriously attack me..

4 big pine trees. Theyr my neighbors trees. 2 years ago they dripped soooo much sap onto my DD it actually changed the color from white to a light blue when i took it off. After the whole summer and some detailing it finally went back to white.
Then that winter with an ice storm, a branch broke (8 ft by 7'') fell onto the back of my car, blew out my windows and crushed the rear speaker panel, which to this day the shop didnt fix right so it leaks into my trunk when it rains. Real awesome when you have an amp with 0 guage wire and a sub back there. Luckily i havent put my other matteries and amps into it lol.

My nieghbor has not payed for any of this. But lets not forget the pollen!!!! I cannot detail my car as it gets covered with pollen as i wash it! The cars in my gerage get covered in a single day, enough it turns the color of my mustang and other white cars, yellow. Makes it a PITA when it rains as it turns to sludge on my windshield at first.
Luckily the branch that fell on my car had alot of the pinecoans so i dont get too much on it now. If it happens again this summer I am going to FREAK out on my nieghbor or just start cutting the trees down. He says anything ill tell him to pay me for damage done to my vehicle.

Moral of story. Buy a car covor or park elsewhere.. Bout it man. Good luck in the war against shit...
