porting superchargers

i got a quote from a guy a while back that for 500 bucks he would port my SVO blower and get me something like 50 extra ponies
does this sound right? anyone know who does this cant find the quote or where i got it from....

when you say svo blower, do you mean that ford racing powerdyne supercharger

No most likely he is talking about the Eaton M90 Ford Racing used to sell.

imo, it would be a waste of money. The M90 is not much of a blower in the first place. The 03/04 Cobra came with an Eaton M112 and that blower runs out of power after a while.

I would sell it and buy something stronger.

500 bucks is a good start towards a better blower. if your looking for more power, have you thought about methanol injection?

yeah its the m90 but i just want to get towards to the 370rwhp mark cause the stock internals i was hoping to do it with this supercharger, meth kit is an option though does that make a big difference?

Huge difference. Your gonna need a tune but you can gain upwards of 50-75HP depending.

All for the cost of the kit which depends on which one you get.

Snow Performance is an elctrical kit that is around $300 give or take. Rick Anderson @ Anderson Ford Motorsport uses a mechanical pressure design kit. As the boost pressure raises, the meth raises.

The AFM kit is like $175 I think??

You can use window washer fluid as your Meth provider as long as it is -20 degrees washer.

For a while Ford offered the M90 that was connected to a new PI intake. They don't offer it anymore.
