Hey everyone, need some good advice on what stroker to go with 393,408 or 427 and what the advantages/disadvantages would be between the three.I will list some of my info such as the car and what type of block i am going to be using and also the stroker kit that i will be purchasing.
car:95 mustang gt
block:dart
stroker kit:chp
Just to let everyone know the info that i am looking for is what are some suggestions on the engine combo including heads cam carb ect.
This is going to be a n/a combo with as high of a compression ratio as i can get on pump gas (93) i am guessing an 11.0 would be about as high as i can go? I want to make as much horsepower as i can with the block and being n/a.I plan on turning high rpm's like 8000-9000 maybe lower just depends on the combo.Everybody throw out some ideas for me to think about...so again here are some of my questions-
what stroker out of the three should i go with?
custom grind cam is what i had on my mind.somthing better?
hp difference between running higher comp ratio and race gas than pump gas?if it is a significant difference than i will go with higher comp ratio.
What heads to go with? was thinking about somthing from brodix.
what carb to go with as far as cfm and brand?
was thinking about putting a small shot of nos.something like 50 max 100 if i do decide do i have to adjust the compression ratio as i would with a turbo?
what hp could i be making with the best combo?
My goal: Again i have a 95 mustang that will probably weigh 4000lbs when i am done with the engine build.the plan is to run real low 10's if possible,I want to drive it on the street if i want to-wether or not i have to do it with race gas or not-may have to look into other means of weight reduction to see those kinds of numbers like tubular front end or something like that.I am not going to spend over $10000.00 would like to only spend about 8500.00 on motor.
My Reply:
Put the lighter down and step AWAY from the crack pipe!
