Oh yea definitely...the wood was free, I had it sitting around in my basement...all I had to do was buy some vinyl at a fabric shop for ~$30, and we used some aluminium brackets and some velcro to hold down the bottom piece. So it was way less than the $150 kits you find at AM and LMR.

Did mine last year and couldn't help but add some character to it. I am going to be mounting a large limeted edition phoenix gold amp behind it shortly, been working on the amp rack this weekend. The grey part on the bottom between the medal strips is hinged for storage and it also hides my EQ.

Those look good. I can't see paying $150.00 for a crappy premade one. Diy seems like the way to go.

If you're crafty enough and own a coupe, you can make one that still allows you to flip the rear panel down and then be flush with the floor in the trunk, making a nice flat space for storage or whatever. I also like the idea of a panel that opens on the bottom half for more hiding places.

Made it with my dad, with the subs and materials it was way less than the ones I've seen for sale...but I ended up selling it to my roommate...kinda hard to strap in my daughters car seat with a sheet of plywood and some speakers in the way lol

AHHH C'MON with her strapped straight to the sub the vibrations would probably put her to sleep super fast. The noise might make her def but nobodys perfect and maybe her eyesight could become stronger to compensate for the hearing loss?! Idunno it could happen, and if I had to choose between my stereo or my kid........... :)

i have the mmr delete now and am not happy with it, very flimsy and not the best fitment. i saw this one on svtp and would like to use the bottom of my mmr delete as a template for some MDF so i can set things on it. i don't know exacly how the back panel is attatched to the rear headrest maybe you guys can give me some advice.

Mystic is that a for sale kit or is that all custom? I like the SVT in the middle. I have a RSD but the fitment is crap and the back rest needs to be taller.

same issue here. as far as i know it's custom, i am going to try and replicate it. shouldn't be rocket science. i'm going to cut my new bottom panel a little bigger than the mmr and am still pondering on just how the back panel with attach.

also i was thinking about covering it in black pebble grain vinyl. do you guys think i would still be able to wrap the SVT lettering if i heat the vinyl or should i just go black carpet? i would prefer vinyl. also should i wrap the lettering and mount to the panel or attach the SVT to the panel then lay material over top and try to tuck around?

i know there a guys on the forum with much more experience with this than me so i am open to advice.

main points are i want the raised SVT, preferably in vinyl on both panels and i like that there is not gap around the edge of the back panel, i want that same sort of fitment.

Im not sure if the SVT is part of the back rest or if it was attached. If its attached you could counter sink holes in each lettering and bolt it or screw it into the back rest so that any thing that covers it will still be flush so that there will not be bump of a screw or bolt
