definitely. i do historic restoration and carpentry so i hope i can make this look half descent. thinking I'll use a cardboard template to get the back panel to have as little edge gap as possible.

I have the coveted e-brake delete

Is that to prevent rotor failure after an on track session??

it was more because it was rubbing the drive shaft and about 12 pounds I didn't need. But if you use your e-brake after coming off the track you will heat soak your rotors and warp the shit out of them. Not having it prevents that too haha

those letters will be a pain to wrap well in vinyl. IF they were thinner it would not be a problem. Just use foam board and you can use a box knife and scissors to cut the letters. Just glue them down and then put the carpet or vinyl over it. IF you look at the bottom of my cover, the ligher grey area has the cursive mustang logo raised in the vinyl. I just wrote the logo in sharpie till it looked the way I wanted, then glued wire down and wrapped over it.

Don't bother with the kits. Get some cardboard and use scissors to cut a pattern for one side till it fits. Its the same on the other side, just measure inbetween and then transfer that to wood. You can use multiple pieces if you need, lay them in place in the car and then tape them together.

I also recomend getting a hinge and making it accesable under the cover as there is a crap load of space under it. I keep a full ratchet set, fire ext, wrenches, an air compressor tire kit, first aid kit, jumper cables, deatialing stuff and the EQ to my stereo........

Today I got a linear actuator so that I can motorize the cover you see in my pic. My amp will be behind it so I think it will look pretty cool to have it open on its own, wired into my alarm.

Mystic is that a for sale kit or is that all custom? I like the SVT in the middle. I have a RSD but the fitment is crap and the back rest needs to be taller.

same issue here. as far as i know it's custom, i am going to try and replicate it. shouldn't be rocket science. i'm going to cut my new bottom panel a little bigger than the mmr and am still pondering on just how the back panel with attach.

also i was thinking about covering it in black pebble grain vinyl. do you guys think i would still be able to wrap the SVT lettering if i heat the vinyl or should i just go black carpet? i would prefer vinyl. also should i wrap the lettering and mount to the panel or attach the SVT to the panel then lay material over top and try to tuck around?

i know there a guys on the forum with much more experience with this than me so i am open to advice.

main points are i want the raised SVT, preferably in vinyl on both panels and i like that there is not gap around the edge of the back panel, i want that same sort of fitment.

Just my two cents but I think

the SVT in black carpet, and the flat part in vinyl would look sweet, just wrap the SVT, wrap the back part then mount the SVT with screws through the back!

I'm probably going to do the same thing eventually. My driveshaft has been rubbing on the e-brake bracket already, and the car is not even that low.

that's a good idea, if i can't get the vinyl to wrap the lettering properly i will do just this.
