You would basically want timing pulled, if you have an Xcal you can do that yourself. If you are going to switch boost alot (It's kind of a pain to do ), then you might want different tunes.

I ran 10.3:1 with 10 PSI, I just kept it kinda on the ridiculous side of safe, 12:1 A/F, 18 degrees of timing. You leave power that way, but you keep your rods internal rather than external also.

I dont plan to change it a lot...but I would like to run a very safe tune with 9-11 psi.

id bolt it on with a new pump and run it as is(fmu, its what its there for) until you can afford the rest. its what erich and i both did, never had an issue.


Id rather not...its my daily driver and I cant afford to have anything happen.

FMU's are super rich and safe, but at 12 psi, I don't know if I would go that route.

i dont know which fmu calibration he has, but erich ran his for 207k miles with the fmu never getting it tuned. ran 13.0 at 108 with it and a pi intake, there was more in it but it wasnt his drag car...

the kit has a 10lb pulley (correct?) i would say he could bolt it on with the fmu as is and be good until he can afford tuning.

Out of the box, a Vortech FMU is 12:1. Waay more than you need.

Theres 3 pulleys...I beleive one is less than 8 psi.

The one he was running for ever thats about 10-12 psi.

and I beleive it comes with a smaller one that is supposed to be good for almost 15 psi he said.

I think I want to run the middle one.

I know he ran it like that for ever but Id rather be safe and upgrade the fuel system. Besides I should be able to squeeze more power out and see what kind of numbers I put down.

yeah im seeing 12psi. I have a very conservate tune and my fuel system is composed of 42#injs, walbro 255lph intank, and 90mm MAF

I had the same fuel system, plus a BAP

Yeah you should be good. I was running a little over 100 more rwhp and about 1500 more rpm when I was on it. So I just added the BAP to be safe.

Probably run the 12 psi pulley...the blowers got an upgraded step up ratio so its supposed to make boost faster anyway.

Just remember that makes it easier to over spin as well.

i thougth the p600b was good for around 18psi... on my motor the standard kit is good for 24lbs... :dunno:, your headunit is brand new, just dont get greedy until u have enough saved for something better just in case...

From what I can see they look to be about the same other than the p1sc has a max speed of 62k instead of 60k and the step up is 4.10 compared to 3.05

The p600 im getting has a step up ratio of 3.45 i beleive
