i got a saleen hood from them that was nearly perfect but my two spoilers were booty...heres the hood
are your vents functional? And when you first put it on did it close correctly?
i dont know how functional they are but we cut out behind it and used a black metal mesh instead of the plastic piece....yea it closed fine, and lined up fine too...really wasnt even that wavy and needed very little body work before paint..

I find that interesting. I have kaenen one with functional heat extractor vents but it doesn't line up like factory and it doesn't sit flush with fender from the back of the hood. Mine is going to bodyshop soon to get painted. PITA TO CLOSE lol

everyone needs to understand that the companies that make the fiberglass/duraglass/what ever parts they were can make some minor tweaks on the part during or after production that can make a big difference in fitting. Mixing the resins a little differently(maybe too much activator this batch, not enough next time) will make the cure time vary. Fiberglass can continue to cure after being removed from a mold if the mix was not right which can then lead to shrinking or completing curing in a non-supported way which again makes small tweeks in it. If it was stored improperly for a long time that too can make it a little off. In a perfect world of course everything is mixed perfectly, has the perfect amount of time to cure and is handled like an eggshell till it gets in your hands, or really in your painters hands. This is not a perfect world......
Now shippin the wrong shtuff, no excuse. Last week I ordered some braided nylon wire sleeving and rather then showing up blue like I ordered it, it looked like a black/white candy cane. I informed the seller and he sent the correct stuff out the next day.

As I said before I can understand flaws and mistakes happen, I cannot however believe that justifies teh attitude of the owner and the horrible customer service
To this day he has still not asked to look at one single picture of the parts I have, just says they are perfect and my body shop has no idea what they are doing
Also why should someone have to pay return shipping when they recieved an incorrect part? The company should happily eat thse charges for their error

In many states an attorney isnt even allowed in the small claims court. once a lawsuit is presented, an out-of-court settlement is usually made -- not requiring driving anywhere.
most states allow a third party to serve the papers. In CO a landlord can personally serve the papers to a tenant.
most small claims paperwork can be filed on the internet. No need to wait for a clerk.
"make a mistake on any paperwork, you lose" -- hardly. most paperwork is simple to fill out and heres why:
The small claims court is designed to handle the msot petty of cases. "He stole my $18.00 pair of shoes." why even bother?? Because people are full of pride. If someone wrongs you (no matter how small) you want to retaliate. In Colorado a Bishop to a church shot a man with a crossbow over a traffic dispute – that’s just how sad and pathetic humanity is. In order to keep the “lower tier†of our society from attacking each other over petty (to us) cases (such as a traffic dispute, or an 18.00 pair of shoes) we have the small claims court. This court is **designed** for those who are in poverty. This means the forms are relatively easy to fill out, and costs are kept to a minimum. That way no one gets shot over the 18.00 pair of shoes (and the tax payer doesn’t pay the medical bills for it.)
I assure you, filing the $20.00 lawsuit (obviously after all other routes have been used) will get an answer, and a settlement.

Joekd I was not saying that you deserve anything less then what you ordered and expected please don't think I was saying you did anything wrong. I am just explaining to people that unless the system is majorly automated like the OEM parts are with QC to the max any of the smaller places that are simply hand-laying resin into a mold may run into small differences. Unless they are cranking out hundreds or probably more like thousands per year there is some dude somewhere mixing everything together and when the human factor comes in, well we have proven that anything can get dicked up....
ur talkinabout the two small vents on the side right? like the stock hood, mine were closed with two small screw holes.

Another thing to keep in mind is the number of people who try to screw companies by saying "Oh you sent me bad product, I demand a refund." Pics (sadly) prove nothing. Who says that's the actual part they sent? Who says it's not edited? It's one of the reasons I shut down production of the intake manifolds I used to make. Too my people complaining about stuff they didn't understand or wouldn't listen to how it was to be used.
If I got a call or email from someone acting like the best thing ever right off the bat trying to tell me off, chances were slim he was getting a warm friendly reply from me.

My personal experience with small claims is only in CA, it may be a simple 5 minute online procedure in other states that always results in the party being sued giving up and paying. In CA small claims is $5,000 and under. Ive seen people suing AT&T to get out of their cell-phone contract. AT&T had lawyers, as did the guy who didnt get cell reception in his house and wanted to cancel his contract.

bumpers are boxed up and hopefully getting shipped tomorow if i can get off work in time. i leave for florida thursday night so hoping i can get them on da truck before i leave so hopefuly they will have the new ones shipped by the time i get home next week.
they are saying they are going to replace them but i wont believe it till i have new correct bumpers in my possesion.

Nah not the GT/V6 side vents, I have the shaved version. I'm talking about the heat extractors that go deep into the hood, mine are open and functional.

All that is happening is parts are sent over from china, they show up at a rented out warehouse or garage where there's a small team repackaging the product into another box, slap an address on the box and load everything into a truck that goes to their delivery company of choice. Also "free shipping" isn't really free they just tack it onto the price and continue to make 120% profit. Almost all of these "body kit" companies do it

Actually, unless something has changed, that is 100% incorrect.
When I lived in Dallas, they made all their stuff in house/on site. You could walk around and see it all going on - well at least they showed me around when I bought stuff from them in person. They even used my car to do some test fitting for wings. I was one of the first to run the double stacked Saleen SR wing on a fox trunk (Ok, I know not the brightest thing, but I was younger... a LOT younger). And it fit perfectly when it was handed over to me.
