So in the market to get tunner . Any suggestions on what brand should be helpful

What are you trying to do exactly? SCT is an awesome programmer.

Well I am gonna do the pi. Intake Swap and at the same time t.b. and upper pleum . Plus programmer of course. And then hope for at least 25 to 30 HP. Gain.

I am thinking of one as well. Correct me if Im wrong but the SCT programmer will take you pretty far with the intake work. The programmer promises 20HP gains at 93OCT by itself if I am not mistaken. I think its when you get into forced induction that you need a dyno tune. If your on a budget could go with a eliminator chip but you cant read engine codes and you have to send the chip back to get it reflashed. Oh and chip you can change tunes on the fly. Hope this helps!

I do have a Ford ids scan tool from work I can use I can flash from that

I wouldn't waste my time with american muscles tunes. I would go straight to someone who can at least do remote tuning. Justin at VMP is amazing.

If you plan on ever modding to the point of needing a tune, cams, blower, nos, etc look and see what the tuner in your area uses, sct vs diablosport. Id recommend a sct handheld, like the xcal 3. More common than diablosport. Do not believe the advertised 20hp gains though, even on 93 oct. But like you said with the pi intake, maybe 25+- Also Id say the money for throttle body and plenum would be better spent on gears if you don't have gears already. Good luck!

Most people will suggest 4.10's for 4.6 gts. If you do a lot of highway driving then perhaps 3.73's would suit you better. Gears help a lot on these cars and will give you a more noticeable acceleration gain than a throttle body and plenum for sure. Good luck

You can Do a calculator to find out what gears u have by tire size rpm and speed. My auto with 3.73s will do about 80 at the end of second but my 2nd gear ratio is different than a manual.

You can check it by making a mark on the tire and drive shaft and spinning the tire while Watchijg how many times the drive shaft spins while the tire does one full revolution

Thanks for the help. 4.10's it is. We will go from there . so many things to do its hard to decide where to start
