Although this is already in my build thread, I'm REALLY excited because rebuilding my trans was a big step forward in the progress to getting my notch up and running again. :)

Here's the thread:

...and here's the abbreviated version of the trans rebuild. :)

Tons more powdercoating mayhem yet to come this weekend. :crazy2:

Damn Paul!!! I am so impresed with this build!!!

I don't know how I missed it before, but you should be very proud of the effort you've put into this.

(and yes, I am jealous!)

Look's good, it's not as bad as people think it is inside one of those mystery boxes is it?

Since when did powder coating a trans make it a rebuild? But it does look good, I would think it was rebuilt.

Just kidding, please don't shoot me. :hammer:

You know, I was pretty initimidated before. Now that I've done it with a friend of mine walking me through it, it's actually very simple. I'm glad I learned how to do it.

Haha yeah. You're right. I actually took the trans apart fully expecting to need to buy new syncros, and maybe a gear or two. This is pretty much the only thing on the car so far wasn't in bad shape. Since everything was in great shape, I just installed the countershaft reinforcement plate, and swapped all the guts to the new case. The only thing that needed to be replaced was two of the plastic shift fork tabs.
