Push Start / Accessories Switch

I Am Interested In Installing a Push Button Start and Removing The Key Ignition Itself; However, This Can Be Done As It Has Many Many Times As a Restomod But I Would Like The Idea of a Two Step Ignition Like This Idea---Flip a Toggle Switch (Step One = Arming The System and Turning On Accessories) Then The Second Step... Pushing The Push Start (Activating / Starting or Turning Over The Engine). This Is a Drift / Street Car So I Would Like To Remove The Physical Key Ignition However... Later Would Like To Modify a Modern Key Fob System Like The New Fords/Cars... To Where You Put The Fob In The Cup Holder And It Recognizes It... Soon I Won't Have a Cup Holder As My E-Brake Will Take It's Place So I'll Design a Custom "Factory Style" Pocket or Compartment For The Fob But For Now Would Just Like To Know How I Could Wire And Make The Two Step Ignition a Reality, Any Help or Luck Would Be Appreciated, Thanks

its not all that hard but I would not recommend it for everyone as you will be cutting up/into the critical ignition wiring and need to wire up a relay or two so there is some knowledge needed and a screw up can be an expensive/difficult repair. You would need to have and know how to use a volt meter, I would prefer all the connections be soldered myself but crimping is acceptable if you have a good set of klein style crimpers and not be afraid to dig into and identify the ignition wiring. If this sounds like something you can handle(not want to handle but can) we can help guide you but we all need to know our limits and wiring is a big one for a lot of people.

I am enrolled in engineering so I know how to use a volt meter such as olms, etc. and I know how to solder but never learned about a homemade electrical, just know how to do stereo setups and basic installs but not anything like this so if the wiring is difficult then I'll just get the supplies and take it to get done but cost wise what would I be looking towards for labor and install

tough to tell as everything from you location to just what shops are available to if you buy their gear or bring your own will effect it. IF you are going to have a shop do it I would go to them and see what gear they recommend as they will be able to honor warranties that would cover the labor of checking it all out. I could see it in the $100 range for labor or even more again just depending on everything.
