How much interest are you gaining? I looked up what I would be making on interest and it was next to nothing.

I mean as far as having direct deposit and to figure out what I want to save and open different accounts.
For example a buddy of mine has a few savings accounts that are seperate for different things. And has direct deposit to them.
Gets a check, 10 bucks goes here, 10 there etc

Dude, I saved my car payment. After I paid the car off, i just put the payment into a savings account every month, when the time came, I was ready.

i paid my car off when i bought it... so i don't know how much the payment would have been... though the sticker was 29,XXX something.

My payment was like 254 a month, on a 5 year note from Ford motor Credit, on 22k.

My car has been paid off for 3 years... since I got it.
Paid it all in full the day I got it..
So.. all I pay is insurance and gas...

I was just saying after I finished paying for the car, I kept saving the money. When i was ready to step up, i already had a car account with the money in it I needed to do what I wanted.

I want to open a few savings accounts so I can do that.
I know that if I do it that way I have no way I can spend it
If I have the money at my house or in my wallet... it will go bye bye, I will be that much more tempted....

I want one for my car, one for xmas, one for college and one for car payments....
