Well everyone, the PI engine swap is underway. I'm now ready to swap all the parts over to the 02 engine. I bought a pair of MAC long tube headers foe the car. Now this is the question, is it better to install them now or put the engine in first then the headers. I'm asking because when I pulled everything this weekend, I pulled the engine, tranny, and h pipe out together as one and let me tell you, it was a bitch. The h pipe kept getting stuck on the steering shaft and the tranny on the hump of the body. So before I do anything, I wanted to see what would be the best to do. Thanks everyone!! :thumb:

wont clear the K member. best to put the motor in place and keep it on the cherry picker. Then lower the K member and put them on.

I didn't drop the K member to pull the engine and tranny. So i'm not really sure what you are trying to say.

Why didn't you take the h-pipe off before you took it out?

And i think you can set them in the car but you cant bolt them up to drop them in
