I recently found out my car does 1 wheel peels. Ever since i had the car i noticed in rain if i took off hard one side of the car would slide out terribly. I never thought twice about it until Thursday night during the rain. I took off with to much gas and the car broke loose on 1 side like it was doing a 1 wheel peel.

Now im wondering.

- Is all my whooping 200HP still being put to the ground or is it cut in half since only 1 wheel is giving power it seems. Am i loosing a lot of performance because of the 1 wheel putting more power to ground.

oh ya
This crap is dangerous even while driving on dry ground. If i press the gas hard while turning then 1 wheel kicks spins and pops the car out of traction pretty easily.

and the video where i noticed this problem - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkKJWBnv1fs

It's been a while since I've done a rebuild, but if my memory is right I believe the stock limited slip has three clutch pads on each side of the spider gears. You can actually put four clutches on each side and pack it a little bit tighter. I did this the last time I rebuilt my rearend and I haven't noticed any one wheel peel in almost 8 years. I'm not 100% sure if this does anything better than the stock rebuild, but it's worth a shot.

Your hp does not change. If anything it's the other way around. In a working traklok the power is split between 2 wheels.

Have it rebuilt, or get one that's ready to install. BTW you can't slide one side of your car, the only way I was able to tell mine needed rebuild was going through turns at full throttle. Engine rpm would change as soon as the car went straight again.

LSD needs a rebuild . WhenI did the rear in my fox I added a extra friction disc to each side of the diff. It will tighten things up a bit . Thus extra disc does make a harder time to put back together , but it is worth the work ..
