So I got my cam cap bolts in finally..they look the same, same size on the head, are grade 9.8..only difference is towards the head of the bolt, there isnt threads all the way up the bolt to the top like the old one..probably half an inch or so of non threads..just wanted to make sure this isnt a huge deal, as I didnt think that would reach all the way into the head anyway.....



going to go to sears as soon as someone here tells me these are ok to buy an 80 dollar in lb wrench for these..
then return it tomorrow, with no restock fee. Mwahaha!

dont do the scum bag thing buy the tool and keep it you will need it later on if your gonna continue to work on your car

where did you get the bolts from and are they specific for the car, if they are and you got them from ford, i wouldnt worry about ti

Installed, just need my one valve cover bolt for pass side..drivers valve cover on, sooo..gettin close.

They look correct. From the bottom of the head to the first thread should measure approx 3/8 of an inch.
