Hey guys, new to the forum. I have a 97 GT 5-speed that I picked up last year. Got it off a kid for cheap. Good thing is that I got her running near perfect in fact its my daily driver right now. Bad thing is a kid had this car and he beat the living crap out of the body hit a tree with it nose is pushed over to the right and he used a come along and a tree to straighten it out enough to get a rad in it so the Shell is basically junk And where I live "Near Dallas/Ft Worth area in Texas" I can pick up a really clean bodyshell for cheap $300-700 range. And I intend to swap all the drivetrain over into a new body. Probably a V6 Car as there the cheap ones here. My Car has the PATs security system on it you know the chipped key. And most of the V6s I've seen do not. The question is if I use the Dash harness out of the V6 car will the mustang Run? Or do I need to swap the entire body harness and colmn? I spent about 10 years in the auto salvage business pulling parts and know my way around a car better than most. And have built several other cars in the past. Although I have yet to dig out the wiring diagrams for this car. I know that the PATs computer is in the trunk but am not shure about the wiring to it. Any insight would be appreciated!
