I'm about to bolt on my TFS heads. I have all of the gasket areas cleaned and all holes tapped. I'm using 7/16 ARP headstuds, TFS washers, and TFS Premuim o-ring gasket set. What torque specs do I use and what order do i go in (if thats important). Is there anything else i should be aware of before i do this? i want to make sure i do it right the first time.

quick help will be appreciated, i'm trying to get this done tonight or tomorrow morning. thanks guys :)

Here's how I did mine:

--Step 1 25-35 ft/lbs
--Step 2 45-55 ft/lbs
--Step 3 75-85 ft/lbs

For step 3 i torqued them all to 80 and then did the long ones to 90 lbs.

as for the order:

I have nothing to add here other than to say OnyxCobra is exactly right. Don't forget the moly lube. :)

I wouldn't listen to ur buddy, you definitely go from the inside outwards. it's the lower intake manifold bolt sequence that goes all over the place.

After like 2 days of pounding my head on the desk and looking at AFR torque specs, ARP stud torque specs with/without lube, etc. i decided to go with what it said about bolting down the long ones 10lbs more. Have had zero problems since the install *knocks on wood*

According to my machinist friend, the longer bolts are torqued tighter since they have more length and are more likely to absorb the torque by "twisting".

It is a generally accepted practice, and I did it on the motor I just built.

The "sequence" you posted is correct in the picture. I go 25lbs through the sequence, 50, through the sequence, then 70 through the sequence. finish up with 1,3,5,7,9 (according to your pic) at 80 across the top ones
