questons on explorer gt40 intake

ok..so im building up my 93 cougar, has the same eng as a 94-95 but with a cobra cam.. I know I need an intake elbow to make mt gt40 intake work but do I need the gt40 intake with the hole in the middle of the lower manifold for the egr or since the egr connects into the elbow is it ok that I have the gt40 w/o that internal egr..?

If the elbow has a egr port in it you can run either explorer manifold and keep egr.
