At night when I turn my lights on, the lights in the interior start blinking as if something is going out. Like the dash and guage lights. What would cause this to happen? Also, the guage lighting has been very weak. I sometimes catching myself squinting because it's not bright enough.any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ya the light dimmer sounds to be the culprit, when mine melted, my taillights went out on a road trip on the middle of tennesse around 9:30 at night, and I just kept driving till the sun came up lol.
Anyways, always check the fuse, pull it out and look at it and look at the terminals in the fuse box for melting, burning, cracks, or corrossion same for the plug on the dimmer. The whole connector, wiring harness, and dimmer had to be replaced for mine, it was crazy I'm glad the car didn't catch fire, that thing was burnt. Good Luck.

This happened to me on my 94 and on my current 95. Both times the switch melted! Pretty easy fix though once you get the part. The first time i switched it out i used th same wireing and just plugged it in. That lasted for awhile but then melted again. So this last time i spliced in new wires and has been working like new for the last couple years. Hope this helps.

Its probably the wiring pigtail behind the actual switch mechanism. Mine overheated and melted so I needed to buy a new one. I just used bullet connectors so if I need to switch it out it all just disconnects...

You have to take off ur headlight knob and then the two bolts that hold your cluster trim piece. When u take it off its pretty straight forward.
