Quick Question!

Hey guys i am going to be getting an o/r h pipe pretty soon for my stang because i just ordered one from Jegs, and i was wanting to know like on a scale of 1-10 how much louder it will be than my stock 6 cats? Will it bring a smile to my face after i put it on and start that baby up? Because i want my ears to bleed! :santa_grin:

ummmm... yea thats a big 10-4.. mid pipe is one of the biggest differences you can do/hear with your exhaust.. have u seen those stupid 6 cats!? THEYR HUGE! all i said when i saw um was.. WTF! .. good ridense..

do you have an aftermarket cat-back?

i believe its(correct me if im wrong someone) Hpipe you can hear more at idle then WOT
xpipe u hear more at WOT.. and i think hpipe is a little deeper than x-pipe..

but anyways good choise, and whats ur catback? and do u have LTs?

I got flowmaster 40's that i bought off of ebay for 115 dollars and i used my uncles mig welder to weld them in. It was a pita but we eventually got them installed. Now i am just waiting for my o/r h to come to my house so i can install it too. I can't wait, because i always hear other gt's when i'm driving and i'm like damn wish my exhaust sounded like that.

you will definatley love it. if you do a search here you can find my clip. im runnin an o/r x
with weld in flows. trust me, you will grin when you start it for teh first time.


p.s. a word to the wise, buy some penetratin oil, and soak the s*** out of the collector
bolts. they will be a PITA, mine were, but a breaker bar took care of the prob. i tried an
impact gun, got one side loose, the other side required the breaker bar. just soak em the
night before your gonna do it. it will help alot.

H-pipes have a deeper, old-school muscle car rumble. they are known to produce more TQ than HP
X-pipes have a raspy exotic V8 sound. They are known to produce more HP than TQ
