Terminator=Crappy POS Ford, for them it was all about perception, they barely went for the G35, they would have prefered a C230

I liked it, by my VP didn't like it, it would have been unacceptable for me to meet my clients in any vehicle I owned except the G35.

All I'm saying if he's in that kind of work, with those kind of people, just buy a different car to drive. If he's just worried they'll think he's a hooligan, that's another story.

I met people and negotiated contract's for literally 10's of millions of dollar's. These people don't think very highly of Ford's :hammer: The G35 I got, was marginal, they would have really preffered to have me in a Benz.

yeah very similar company JR as far as image goes. They have pretty high expectations of there employees, but they hired me because I fit the part they were looking for. As far as the vehicle goes I will be facing a very similar situation in a couple years. I am coming in as a Jr partner instead of a jr analyst which most employees at these firms begin with. So for the first year I will be in alot of training and educational classes but around year two is when I need to start meeting with clients and then Im sure they talk to me about a vehicle. Until then the ford will have to do.

I would just try to stay as low profile as possible in the meantime. There's no reason why they should know what you drive or even if you drive or take the bus or whatever at this point.

As far as that goes, I would assume you park in a large structure, or at least a lot, so just don't let them see you, at least until you feel them out. If they are snobby about it, keep it to yourself.

Yeah, since Ill be working at Morgan Stanley in Michigan and not New York I will be at a branch office in Grand Rapids. It doesnt have a parking structure because it only has around 40 employees. But im sure i can be low key about it.

Well thanks for all the advice guys. I dont want to drag this thread on longer than it needs to be.
