Rack and pinion???

Ok I am changing out the rack and pinion on a buddies mustang. Is there anything special when doing it? Thanks guys. :notworthy:

You might need a line wrench to get the lines off the old rack and onto the new one. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward. Don't forget to buy power steering fluid, and get an alignment right away.

Unlike what Paul stated, you NO NOT Need flare nut wrenches for the lines as a flare nut wrench will not fit. You need an Open End Wrench.

here is a tip, unscrew then Fluid lines After you remove the rack from the K-member.

Fancy is all well and good, but let's be honest with ourselves - we drive old Fords, not Maseratis. I treat them accordingly. :)
