I was looking at the 1994-00 Mustang 2 1/16" Radio 3 Gauge Panel from LMR.

Anyone know if it's possible to put the climate controls in the bottom compartment and then put this gauge panel at the top?
So from top to bottom it would be gauges, radio, climate control.

Ya might be a bit of custom work but I'm sure not much I've seen it done before

Thanks guys! Thanks ferocious for the link! That actually looks great!

Now I found another project and another way to spend money... great :p

Yeah..Yeah it's really easy. I made some small brackets to hold the ac controls on bottom.

Have any pictures?

personally I like my radio there as its generally a pretty dark area and makes it easier to read my radios display in bright lights.

yes that is where mine is.

The face is missing here but you get the idea. The ledge above it as well as all the black around it make it a nice dark cubby that makes it easy to read. Still with in easy reach with your hand on the stick and no it doesn't get in the way of loading/unloading. Its been so long ago I think I needed to move the mach amp in there and the hrns's that go to it but its not hard. I also flushed my radios trim ring into the dash to give it a little smoother look.

Dalamar put the hvac controls under the radio. then put the guages where the hvac controls were.
I would prefer them there because their on the same line of sight as the cluster guages.
I'll be doing that as well. One of these days.

I would move the radio/hvac down and then the gauges up as well. Gauges by you knees are not all that useful.

^ This.. I did that when I had my old AVIC-N1 I had in the radio slot:

Currently, it sits in this configuration until I install my "triple gauge cage" I bought from Paul 3 years ago..

I still haven't decided if I wanna move the HVAC controls down one slot

it would not be all that hard to glue a piece of abs plastic in any of those spaces, add a little filler and some sanding/paint and you could make a perfectly flush area to mount them in with out any division between the dash and the mount.
